Self esteem in Gita

उध्दरेदात्मनात्मानं नात्मानमावसादयेत ।
आत्मैव ह्यात्मनो बन्धुरात्मैव रिपुरात्मन : ।।
                  गीता अध्याय 6 श्लोक  5

Lift up high the self by self
And let not the self debased be,
Self alone is the friend of the self
And likewise is its enemy.
