Short Speech: Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.

Good morning everyone. My name is Kritika and I am here to speak on a very interesting topic. This happens to be a famous quotation by author Jim Rohn.

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.

First let us understand the terms used in the topic. They are, discipline, goal and accomplishment.
According to dictionary, discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules.

A goal is a clear end result having with an objective to be achieved within a fixed time.
An accomplishment is something notable that you have done.

A bridge is a limited passage to overcome an obstacle.

To sum up, I can say it means we should obey certain rules in life to achieve what we want accomplish.
Discipline teaches us to operate by code.

If you want to be a great player, you can’t ignore daily practice. Also you can’t eat so much and sleep.

If you want to be among toppers, you can’t be watching TV programmes one after another
If you make a rule to finish your  homework  daily you can’t afford to attend all the birthdays and marriages you want to.

Our teachers and  parents  remind us to be disciplined because they want us to become successful.
Discipline has been rightly compared with a bridge. We don’t have too much space to do anything on the bridge.

The bridge makes it possible to cross the obstacle between goal and us.

Friends, there is nothing in our control except our thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do.  If you don’t control what you do, you cannot accomplish what you want .

SO there is a great wisdom hidden in the sentence “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments.”

With this I conclude my speech. Thank you for your attention.

Essay: Pleasures of school life

I love my school. I eagerly wait for the morning when I get ready to go to school. First I get to meet all the friends, It is such a joy. Then the bell rings and our class teacher arrives. She is always smiling. We start with a loud good morning to her. I love my studies. I like when teacher gives me a smiley because of my clean homework done in nice writing.

My teacher is so interesting while teaching we never know when the period passed. She never gets angry. We ask her lot of questions. She has the answers. All my teachers are like that.

I love the activity in the class. We all eagerly wait for the games period. Our school has a big playground. There are green plants around it and hundreds of smiling flowers. We run around, scream, chase, jump and laugh. This is such a joy. I don’t like to miss my dance class as well.

My school looks so beautiful and everything seems in place. The library is full of interesting books.
We get homework. My papa wants me to complete it before I watch TV and my mom helps with it. So I don’t find it difficult. Even I help my friends.

My school life is full of joy and learning.

Work is sacrifice

The gathered clouds of past deeds done
Get scattered all of that one
Who is free with ties foregone
Whose deeds are done as sacrifice.

Think before you write a report card.

We need to be sensitive while making report card entries. Sweeping remarks or generalised remarks hurt. The child may not even understand what does this mean. There is a lot positive in every child.

Self esteem in Gita

Lift up high the self by self
And let not the self debased be,
Self alone is the friend of the self
And likewise is its enemy.

School Administrator

This is an excellent resource pack for school principals who always welcome something new to learn.
I don't claim reinventing wheel because every learning has come from our great teaching community; interaction with public, parents and students. Even wheel itself has come of age.
It is incredible mentor for teachers, academic coordinators, vice principals and school managers.
A resource bank of 600 plus ready made school management tools. Forms, templates, procedures, correspondence, assembly plans, examination manager, school transport and more than hundred pre-written circulars to save time.
I attended dozens of seminars and scores of leadership training but they were not offering solutions to day to day problems in school administration. All business school based mind cosmetics.
So I decided to do it myself. A learning investment worth making.

Wandering is the nature of mind

The mind is strong and obstinate,
It is restless, it is turbulent
Controlling it is hard, I rate
As catching the wind's movement.

School Principal

The job of a school principal is not only rewarding but challenging.

There is a leadership opportunity and social status attached.

To rise to the position of principal, first thing to do is start taking interest in extra work. Manage events, do anchoring,  lead class competitions and draft notices.

Soon you will rise above the ordinary. You can request your principal to teach you some administration by giving responsibility.

Next is to build your resume. Apply at the next available opportunity !

Without a tie to anyithing,
Facing good or bad,
Neither hates or rejoices
is the one in wisdom steady.

Place Influences our Thoughts
